Rottnest Island is situated approximately 14 kilometres off the coast of Western Australia
The time trial will travel in a clockwise direction on Rottnest Island. The 19.5 km lap will take in the entire island making it a challenging course; the wind direction will change 4 times during the lap.
There are no major climbs on the course however it is undulating route with little to no completely flat sections other than the first and last couple of kilometres.
Rottnest can be windy at times. Riders will need to think about the depth of rim used on their front wheels. Rear disc wheels and time trial bikes are most definitely recommended on this course.
The Time Trial will commence at 10am. Riders will depart in 30 second intervals with a 2 minutes gap between each age category.
