- Bickley / Carmel Valley (download a self-drive map). One of Perth’s hidden gems is this drive through the beautiful valleys in the Perth hills. If you’re here on a weekend, you will be spoilt for choice of which wineries or restaurants to stop in at. - Kalamunda to Mundaring (download a self-drive map) Strap yourself in for a stunning drive through the bush to one of Australia’s most historic watering holes. Literally! Gaze a while and brush up on the local history at Mundaring Weir & Pumping Station and then grab a drink or some food at the historic Mundaring Weir Hotel.
